SXW Wrestling's History

AIWF/SXW Wrestling was founded in 1999 by Mr. Will Pritchard aka The Backstreet Brawler who was with ECW in it's early days. Mr. Pritchard is a 30+ yr veteran of the professional wrestling business. AIWF/SXW Wrestling  began under the acronym of SEW (Southeastern Extreme Wrestling) and held it's first event on March 6, 1999 in Marianna, FL and has continously held events in Alabama, Georgia and Florida in front of many wrestling fans. In 2004 the acronym was changed to SXW (Southeastern X-Treme Wrestling) looking to get an edgier feel to it's audience. In July 2012 AIWF/SXW Wrestling was bought by Mr. Kevin White from Mr. Pritchard and he implemented changes from the more extreme nature of the business to more of an old school look and feel. AIWF/SXW Wrestling was transformed into it's current form and went to a more patriotic look with all red, white and blue colors rather than the black and yellow that had been used in the past. Mr. White and the AIWF/SXW Wrestling board of directors also transitioned to all independent style championship title belts and have also been in the process of bringing in more talent from around the southeast to bring the level of their events to some of, if not the best of the entire area.  In February of 2013 SXW Wrestling became affiliated with one of the largest collaboration of independent wrestling promoters when it joined the AIWF(Allied Independent Wrestling Federations).  By joining with the AIWF and becoming AIWF/SXW Wrestling has opened the door to further expansion into new and old territories and bringing in some of the greatest talent from around the United States.
